Sally Innis

Sally Innis is a PhD Candidate at the University of British Columbia's Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering, where she quantifies mine waste risks, including the consequences of tailings storage facility failures. Her research addresses the need for qualitative and quantitative research to understand the risks and opportunities facing the mining industry. In addition to her academic work, Sally works as a Mining Solutions Consultant for Open Mineral. She has worked in various sectors and mining-related fields, including exploration geology in north-central British Columbia and environmental development in northern Senegal.
