SMI-BRC, The University of Queensland
Geologist (MSc) with more than nine years of industrial and research experience in mineralogical and geochemical characterisation techniques for applications across the mining chain including exploration geology, production geology and geometallurgy.
Currently, Olivia is a PhD candidate at SMI-BRC, The University of Queensland. Her research aims to understand the cycling of indium in two different geological mine waste environments as an essential first step toward designing a remining process. This includes a multi-scale geochemical and mineralogical characterisation and geochemical modelling of this critical metal.
Passionate about critical metals in mine waste materials to identify potential opportunities to recover and de-risk mine sites, facilitating sustainable mine waste management.
