Joey Duan is a Research Scientist with Mining Geoscience, Mineral Resources CSIRO in Australia. He has over 13 years’ experience working in mine seismology. He has participated in more than 15 domestic and international projects in microseismic monitoring at mines. His research areas mainly include:
1. microseismic signal analysis and process using machine learning
2. end-to-end artificial intelligence based workflow development for seismic data interpretation
3. distributed optic fiber sensing for microseismic monitoring in mines
4. seismic monitoring for roof caving, coal burst and rockburst mechanisms study
5. integration of numerical modelling and seismic monitoring for rock failure mechanisms study
