Walid Salama is a principal research geoscientist and the leader of Minerals and water team at CSIRO Mineral Resources, Perth, Australia. My research focuses on developing cost-effective methods for mineral exploration in weathered and covered terrains. I am also interested in understanding the regolith and paleolandscape evolution and the link to the processes and mechanisms that move metals from the primary mineralization to form supergene ore deposits or anomalies in the overlying transported cover.
