Badamsuren Khookhor

Dr. Badamsuren.Kh has worked as the Director of the biggest state owned feldspar and copper mining corporations in Mongolia for more than thirty years and has an extensive experience in managing major mining projects with strategic importance to the country. He also has played an important role in policy formation and development of the mining industry of Mongolia while working in the Ministry of Mining for more than a decade.

Dr. Badamsuren is now working as a Chairman of the Copper sub-committee of the National Industrialization Committee of the Mongolian Government. The goal of the Committee is to intensify the development of the industrialization within the framework of the “New Recovery Policy” initiated by the Prime Minister of Mongolia. Dr. Badamsuren started the major projects on expansion of the production of “Erdenet Mining Corporations” and new industrial capital projects in Erdenet city while working as the General Director of the Erdenet Mining Corporation, second biggest copper mine in Mongolia after Oyu Tolgoi. He continues working on policy formation and national dialogue of these projects as the Chairman of the Copper sub-committee.
