IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
Dr Ram Bilash Prajapati is an energetic and hard working mining engineer who has retired from Coal India Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Company of Government of India after serving 34 years from 1986 to 2020 in different managerial and administrative capacities. He has taken his primary education from Prathmik Vidhyalaya, Mahuawan, Sherghati (Gaya), Secondary education from Ranglal High School, Sherghati in 1977 and intermediate of science from Gaya college, Gaya under Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar (India) in 1979. He has completed his B.Sc. Engineering (Mining) degree in 1986 from BIT SIndri under Ranchi University, Jharkhand (India). Due to his keen interest and quest for education, he completed his Master of Technology Degree in Mining Engineering (Longwall Mine Mechanisation) degree from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad in the year 1997. He has also completed his PhD degree in Mining Engineering in 2022 from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. He has also served as a Professor (part time) in Mining Engineering department of BIT (Sindri) for more than 10 years from 1995. He has published 5 technical papers in International safety conferences, International journals and Indian mine managers conference.
Presently, he is likely to be appointed as Adjunct Professor at BIT, SIndri, an engineering college of Government of Jharkhand ( India ). He is eager to impart his academic and professional knowledge to the next generation for benefit of the society. He is active and physically fit to serve as a professional mining engineer in a coal producing company as he has vast knowledge and experience in mine panning, strata control , environmental clearance and mine & manpower management , which are vital for a successful mining company.
